About Us:

The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is a renowned uniformed organization in India, and the 7 Andhra Naval Unit functioning at Sri Y N College stands out as a distinguished Unit. Established on August 3, 1965, the Unit has Four Senior Divisions and Two Junior Division Troops. In October 1967, it was upgraded to Six Senior Divisions, with four affiliated to Sri Y N College and two to S V K P & Dr. K S Raju Arts and Science College. The Unit is fully equipped with all necessary facilities, including a firing range and provides training in Boat Pulling and Ship Modeling according to the Syllabus.

Sri Y N College NCC Unit has consistently Won numerous Prizes in various Events and Camps, exhibiting their exemplary Skills and Discipline. Besides, the Unit instills in its Cadets the values of Character, Comradeship, Discipline, Leadership, Secular Outlook, Spirit of Adventure, and the Ideals of Selfless Service, which are crucial for their personal and professional growth

Social Service Activities:

The primary aim of the NCC is to create a resourceful pool of organised, trained, and motivated youth who can provide leadership in all walks of life and serve the nation with unwavering dedication. The Cadets of Sri Y N College NCC Unit have actively participated in several Social Service Activities, including Election Duties, Blood Donation Drives, and Relief Operations during natural calamities like Cyclones, Floods, and Physical Training for pre-army recruitment.

Sri Y N College NCC Unit is a testimony to the success of the NCC in fostering patriotism, leadership, and social responsibility among the youth of the country.
