Sri Y.N. College was Established in the year 1949 and it is one of the oldest and well established college in the Andhra University Region, at present here under Adikavi Nannaya University, Rajamahendravaram. Y.N. College has been Accredited by NAAC with A-grade Thrice.
Sri G.V.R. Institute of Education – Sri Y.N. College was established by the Y.N. College management in the year 2007-2008 with an aim to disseminate knowledge and Teachers abilities among the Rural Students and make the Society prosperous. Keeping in view the changing trends in Teaching abilities the management appointed well experienced and seasoned Full Fledged faculty member.
Sri G.V.R. Institute of Education – Sri Y.N. College has been affiliated to Adikavi Nannaya University, Rajamahendravaram approved by NCTE – Bangalore. The NCTE Bangalore changed the Examination system pattern into semester system. The B.Ed. Course is two years – 4 semesters programme now. I am happy to say that 13 batches of B.Ed. Course were successfully completed. B.Ed. College is equipped with state of assistant laborites well equipped library with 3442 volumes in 14 Journals and magazines in education (6 – Educational Journals, 370 – No. of Titles, 4 – News papers). The students become masters in their skills by, weekly seminars, and Group discussions by experts. Exclusively special classes are conducted for soft skills. The College achieves cent percent result every year.
