Sri Y N College caters to the residential requirements of the women students through two Hostels in the College premises, with all the required facilities. The first Hostel was established in the Year 2000 and the second, in the Year 2010. Each Hostel has twenty rooms that can accommodate 60 students. One of the hostels is run by Solar Power. The sprawling campus of the College has been built on 12.3 acres of land with beautiful gardens and quiet surroundings. The Students who join the College from outside Narsapur can avail of the hostel facilities. The Rooms are allotted normally on twin/triple sharing basis. The College Hostel promotes the integral development of body, mind and spirit. The College Hostel takes pains to give students a neat, clean and comfortable place to live in. There is a warden and an office staff to attend to the needs of the students from time to time. The Hostel has a Mess, Water Coolers, Visitor’s Room, Common Facility and a Medical Unit.

The Hostel is equipped with Fridge, Microwave Ovens, Ironing Boxes and Induction Cook tops to make life convenient and enjoyable for the students. The Mess provides balanced and wholesome food to the students. The common Room has a TV with DTH. The Hostel is aesthetically laid out with plenty of space and greenery. The Rooms are comfortable and basic furniture like bed with boxes and book shelves are fitted for the occupants. We encourage the resident students to participate in cultural and social activities of the College are organised on the Campus from time to time. The Hostel students are advised to live in harmony like one big family lending a helping hand to each other whenever required, thus mutually cooperating to make the hostel life a rich and fruitful experience. The College Hostel tries to provide an ideal atmosphere for a healthy, all round development of the personality of an individual and a launching pad for a glorious career ahead. Living in a Hostel presupposes a high degree of integrity, consciousness, cooperation, tolerance and hard work for a bright future and in creating a good image of the institution.

Accommodation and Amenities:
  • Rooms: Sri Y N College Hostel offers accommodation on twin-sharing basis. All Rooms are fully furnished. Each resident is provided with a bed, one built-in wardrobe / almira, one study table, a chair and a bookshelf.

  • Mess: The hostel ensures nutritious and wholesome meals. The hostel committee along with student representatives of mess committee will oversee the quality and nutritional content of the food served in the mess.

  • Pantry: The hostel has one pantry with one induction plate, microwave oven and fridge in Common Room.

  • Drinking Water: Each hostel has a Water Cooler served by water purified by an Industrial RO.

  • Dining Hall: The Dining hall has a seating capacity of more than 120.

  • College Eateries: Residents have easy access to College eateries that include the Canteen during college hours.

  • Reading Room: Two Reading Rooms are available in the Hostel.

  • Library: Resident students have access to College Library which is kept open till 6.00pm.

  • Auditorium: Resident students are free to book the College Auditorium for cultural activities.

  • Sports Facilities: Hostel residents interested in sports may avail the Sports Facilities of the College during the timings as permitted by the warden.

  • Common Rooms: There is a Students’ Common Room equipped with Recreational Facilities such as Television set with DTH Connection, carrom board, chess, etc. It is the venue for residents to carry out activities like recitals, debates and discussions.

  • Visitors’ Room: Resident may receive her relatives and friends in the Visitor’s Room. Visitors must sign and fill up pertinent columns of the Visitor’s book each time they are visiting.

  • Public Address System: The Hostel has a Public Address System that can be used to communicate with students across the Hostel.

  • Generator Set: Electricity supply is 24 hours and connected to College Generator Set in case of outage.

  • Services: Electrician and Plumber are on 24 hour call.

  • Sanitation: Special focus is on cleanliness, health and hygiene. Adequate sanitation and garden staff take care of the Hostel.

  • Administration: The Hostel Office is open from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm.

  • Warden: One warden available in the hostel throughout the week. She takes care of all the requirements of Students.

  • Guest Accommodation: One Guest Room is available for parents on payment basis. Advance booking is required.

  • Security: Dedicated round-the-clock security guards have been employed.

  • Medical Unit: A Medical Support Unit available within the hostel. It is a facility shared with the college. It augments the prevalent arrangement where all students in residence are compulsorily members of Health Centre of Sri Y N College. It provides basic Medical Facilities to the students. A well qualified doctor is available for the hostel . This facility is ideal for regular health check up and treating common medical issues like cough and cold, indigestion, minor cuts, bruises, aches, pains, sports injuries and mild fever, et cetera. The centre stocks emergency medicines for allergy, pain, fever, asthama, and other common ailments.

  • Counseling Centre: The College has established a Counseling Centre on the campus. Its mission is to enhance student wellbeing and offer them a meaningful and successful college experience. The college’s stated policy of affirmation of diversity is respected and followed at all times. All services are provided in a strictly confidential and professional atmosphere with respect for diversity and sensitivity as its hallmark.

Allocation of Hostel Seats:
  • Hostel seats will be allocated as per College norms and UGC guidelines.

  • The Number of seats in a course depends on the sanctioned seats in that course.

  • The college reserves the right for allocation/cancellation of any seat at any time without assigning any reasons there off.

Admission Procedure:
  • First year students admitted to the College will have to apply separately for the Hostel.

  • Candidates must submit the duly filled hostel application form/s in the Hostel Office immediately after securing admission in the college.

  • Admission to the Hostel will be confirmed only after interaction with the candidate along with her parents.

  • Hostel Fee : 1. Mess Charges: 2,800/- per Month. 2. Accommodation Charges: 9,000/- per Annum.
