Profile of the Department of Statistics
The department of Statistics was established in 2017 and merged with Department of Mathematics. The motive of this department is to promote Statistical Education at under graduate level to be useful and helpful to the researchers of other disciplines in Statistical Treatment of their activities.
Programmes offered in the Department:
- B.Sc. Mathematics, Statistics & Computer Science (Before 2020)
- B.Sc- Minor for Computer Science and Data Science (NEP-2020, from 2022-23 to till)
Present Faculty and Working Since:
- Smt D.Neelima, M.Sc-Statistics,M.A-Economics – Working Since 11-09-2025
- Sri P.Mouli Narasimha Varma, M.Sc – Statistics – Working Since 16-06-2025
Infrastructure:
- Apart from college library the department of Mathematics & Statistics maintaining a separate library with 300 volumes for quick reference by the staff members and students.Reference books, Text books, Question Banks are kept in the department library for ready reference.
- Department of Mathematics & Statistics has one Computer with Pentium(R) Dual core system with internet connectivity for staff and students, College provides wifi facility for staff and students.College consists of two class rooms with ICT facility, LED Screens and Smart boards facility for internal and external lectures.
